The Man From Waco sat down to record an episode of CMT Campfire Session, and this is truly something of beauty. Oh, but to be clear, Charley Crockett is not actually from Waco, TX.

Last year's Emerging Artist of the Year at the Americana Honors and Awards Ceremony, Crockett released two albums in 2021: Music City USA, in September, and the James Hand tribute album 10 for Slim: Charley Crockett Sings James Hand in February.

This week he takes center stage on the CMT series, and it's really nice seeing more and more folks find out about Charley. Racking up over 20K views in less than 24 hours it's safe to say country music fans are digging his nostalgic country sound.

“There’s a magic to Charley Crockett. You hear it in his recordings and his live shows, and you see it when he walks in the room,” said Melissa Goldberg, VP, Digital & Social Media, CMT. “On a warm summer evening, out there amongst the creatures, we tried to bottle a bit of that magic in his Campfire Session. Sharing this one with fans, I can only hope that they’ll be as enamored with Charley Crockett as we all are.”

Of course Charley Crockett is from San Benito, TX, and "The Man From Waco" is the title of his latest album, you can hear the title track now on Radio Texas, LIVE! Ya' know, there's just something special about Charley's voice that blends perfectly with the campfire, check it out.
