On this date in 1978, Waylon Jennings’ I’ve Always Been Crazy album was released. The record was produced by Jennings and Richie Albright. It featured a cast of players that included Tony Joe White, Ralph Mooney, Carter Robertson, Reggie Young, and Bee Spears.

The title track became Jennings' sixth No. 1 as a solo artist, spending  three weeks on the top of the country singles chart.
