Top 5: Ladies in Texas Music
Last week was International Women's Day -- now I don't know that I have ever celebrated it, but I thought it would be only right to celebrate some of our favorite women from Texas music, to honor this special day:
International Women's Day has been observed since the early 1900's, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies.
Here our some amazingly talented ladies who have taken country music by storm:
5. Erica Perry
Erica Perry is a fresh name on the Texas Music scene, but she is quickly catching the attention of country music lovers alike. Her new feature length album, Wandering Daisy, releases March 29th.
4. Kimberly Dunn
Kimberly Dunn always maintains a positive, go-get-em attitude. And she writes upbeat break-up songs. #GirlPower
You can pre-order her upcoming album here!
3. Bri Bagwell
Bri Bagwell strives to surpass the barriers of the Texas Music umbrella with her no-nonsense songwriting and go-get-em attitude.
2. Kacey Musgraves
It's Kacey Musgraves, need I say more?
1. The Trishas
For starters, balancing four estrogen levels is a talent in itself. The Trishas are a fantastic group overall, but they have earned a higher respect in my book for taking some temporary R&R away from the road to spend time with their families.
