The Biggest Songs at Radio Texas, LIVE! in 2018 The Comprehensive List
2018 was a good year in the Texas, Red Dirt scene. In February Wade Bowen released his first new, solo, collection of original songs in nearly four years -- Solid Ground was worth the wait. Lonesome as a Shadow helped nationally touring Charley Crockett establish a fan base here in his home state of Texas. BJ Barham of American Aquarium proved that it's okay when Things Change -- and that sometimes things change for the better. Mike and The Moonpies stepped into the spotlight with their honky-tonk infused country album, Steak Night at The Prairie Rose.
Kacey Musgraves rode Golden Hour to four Grammy nominations. William Clark Green followed up the monster that was Ringling Road with Hebert Island, leaving fans more satisfied than Thanksgiving dinner. And Cody Jinks shocked them ignorant folks when Lifers debuted at No. 2, with over 24,000 units sold/streamed. It was his biggest debut to date, second that week only to Kenny Chesney's major label release Songs for the Saints (which includes John Baumann's Gulf Moon.) And this is just a taste of the great albums released this year.
With great albums come great radio singles, and these were the biggest ones at Radio Texas, LIVE! this year. Where'd your favorite land?
