Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic will return in 2022 after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The news was announced today (April 8) along with the event's brand new venue and an impressive lineup of artists set to perform.

Nelson's annual event will be held at Austin's brand new Q2 Stadium, marking the first concert to be held at the venue. This year, the country legend will welcome Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Tyler Childers, Brothers Osborne, Midland, Charley Crockett, Allison Russell, Particle Kid, Steve Earle & the Dukes and Asleep at the Wheel for a day packed with performances. The "Red-Headed Stranger" himself is also set to take the stage alongside his family, including sons Micah and Lukas Nelson.

In 1973, Nelson held the first 4th of July Picnic in Dripping Springs, Texas, which featured appearances from Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and many others. The event has changed locations many times over the years, but has most recently been held at Austin's Circuit of The Americas since 2015.

Tickets for Willie Nelson's 2022 4th of July Picnic will go on sale at 10 a.m. CT on April 15 with prices beginning at $55 per person. You can find more information on ticketing at the Q2 Stadium website.

If you can't make it down to Texas for the 4th of July, you can catch Nelson out on his Outlaw Music Festival Tour later this year.
