This year marks the fifth consecutive year that AXS TV will bring the annual Farm Aid festival to a television audience. Farm Aid 2018 is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, at XFINITY Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut. Tickets sold out in about four hours.

“We’re excited to partner with AXS TV again to bring the Farm Aid festival to everyone,” said Carolyn Mugar, executive director of Farm Aid. “From the renowned music on stage and backstage interviews with farmers, to the excitement of the HOMEGROWN Village and an insider’s peek at the press event featuring Farm Aid artists sharing conversations with farmers, AXS TV brings the full Farm Aid experience to music and family farm fans at home.”

Additionally, Farm Aid announced that Jamey Johnson and Ian Mellencamp will join the extensive Farm Aid 2018 lineup. Farm Aid 2018 will mark Jamey Johnson’s 11th appearance at the annual festival, giving him a Farm Aid performance total that equals his 11 Grammy nominations. While Ian Mellencamp, the nephew of John Mellencamp, will make his second Farm Aid appearance.

Together they join the star-studded Farm Aid 2018 lineup, which features Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews with Tim Reynolds, as well as Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Kacey Musgraves, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Margo Price, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, and Particle Kid.
