Watch Cody Johnson & Wife Romantically Dance in the Tease of a New Song
Cody Johnson is set to release a new album and it looks like he's teasing his next new radio single. In a post of Instagram he shared a video of him and his wife dancing romantically in black and white.
“I don’t remember/ Life before she came into the picture/ Brought the beauty I was missing with her/ Showed me colors I ain’t ever seen/ She took chances/ With every wall I built she saw a canvas/ I thank God every day for how he made her/ My life was black and white but she’s the painter.”
Judging by the hashtags he chose in the post “The Painter” and “New Music,” it's safe to assume we can expect it soon, though he stopped short of revealing when the new music would be released.
Cody Johnson will be globe hopping with fellow super star Luke Combs later this month as the two travel across the pond to play stadiums and arenas on a couple different continents.
Johnson landed that first No. 1 Billboard Country Single, his inspirational "Til You Can't" topped the Billboard Country chart last January, and song went on to win a GRAMMY this year.
The last time Johnson released an album was January '22 and he landed the No. 1 Country album upon the debut of Ain't Nothin' To It. The Texas native moved 34,500 total units, including 23,000 copies in pure album sales his first week.
That along with 12 million songs streams took Johnson to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, and landed him No. 1 on the all-genre Digital Album Sales chart -- this means he sold more complete-album downloads than any other act. Additionally, Johnson landed at No. 2 on the all-genre Album Sales Chart.
