George Strait Released ‘Ocean Front Property’ Thirty Years Ago

On this date, December 22nd, in 1986, George Strait released one of his many signature songs, “Ocean Front Property.”

Written by the powerhouse writing team of Dean Dillon, Hank Cochran and Royce Porter, it was the lead single and title track from Strait’s album that year, and it went on to be a No. 1 hit in both the United States and Canada.
