JB and the Moonshine Band Coming Home for Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival
Welcome home, JB and the Moonshine Band. The boys from the Rose City will be the fourth band at the 2016 Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival.
JB and the Moonshine Band will follow Bri Bagwell, The Dirty River Boys and William Clark Green on stage at this year's festival, which is Saturday, May 14, in Downtown Tyler.
JB and the Moonshine Band have released three albums since 2009, and broke out on the scene from the beginning with their first single, "Perfect Girl," off the album Ain't Goin' Back to Jail -- the video now has more than 2 million views on YouTube.
Hits such as "Whiskey Days" and "Love Don't Let You Decide" soon followed before the band returned to the studio to release Beer for Breakfast in 2012.
Rolling Stone named Beer for Breakfast as one of its best country albums of the year, and it also reached No. 31 on the Billboard country chart. Their second album produced hit after hit, including "Beer for Breakfast," "No Better Than This," "Kiss Me That Way," "I'm Down," "The Only Drug" and "Yes."
It would be three years until JB and the Moonshine Band released another album, but Mixtape kept their rebel nature and unique sound alive.
Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival, presented by Tyler Ford, will announce its 2016 headliner at 7:30 a.m. Friday (Feb. 5) on 101.5 KNUE and on reddirtbbfest.com. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday (Feb. 8) at reddirtbbqfest.com.
