John Mayer & Chris Stapleton Surprise Bridgestone Arena Sing Brand New Duet

Last night (Aug 8) everyone at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the John Mayer show was in for a treat; a surprise appearance from GRAMMY winner Chris Stapleton.

“I’d like to invite a friend to the stage,” says Mayer in the video. “I texted this friend and I said, ‘Well, do you wanna do one of your songs or do one of my songs?’ and he said, ‘We could do either or we could just write a song and then go play it when you get into town.’ I said, ‘Challenge accepted.'”

That's when Stapleton walks out on stage and the two super stars sing their newly minted song, “I Just Remembered That I Didn’t Care.” Wow.
