Josh Abbott Surprises Mom with New Dress and ACM Award Invite

Josh Abbott and his family have been going through a rough time after the death of his father less than four weeks ago. But Abbott was able to bring some happiness back into the picture when he surprised his mother earlier this week.

The lead singer of the Josh Abbott Band brought his mom, Lynnette, shopping with him, under the guise of a meeting. Then Abbott turned his camera phone on her and revealed they were dress shopping, and she that she would be walking the red carpet with him at the AMCs.

The 2017 ACM Awards are this Sunday (April 2) at 8PM ET on CBS. The band is back on the road after the death of David Abbott on March 2. He suffered a stroke several weeks earlier.
