The underground swell of support this East Texas native has tapped into is amazing. With nearly no radio play, and absolutely no radio promotion to speak of, Koe Wetzel is selling out venues from Lubbock to College Station.

This is grassroots. And not the bullshit-make-believe-awschucks-kind, real grass roots. His album Noise Complaint, with help of fist pumping sing-along-songs including “Something to Talk About,” and an honest ode to late night drunken Taco Bell visits, “February 28, 2016,” is winning over fans across the Lone Star State.

This has happened before, but it’s been a while since we saw an artist resonate so quickly with fans; Casey Donahew, and Josh Abbott, but that was over ten years ago, Pat Green in the late ’90s.
