The Austin Area Will Be Without One its Favorite Festivals this Summer
If you missed it, last week our Austin, TX home, KOKE-FM, announced some heartbreaking news regarding their annual KOKEFEST. This year will mark the first year since 2017, minus COVID, Hutto Park at Brushy Creek has been without this beloved music festival
For nearly a decade, Radio Texas, LIVE! has called KOKE-FM home, and every year, just like everyone else, we count down the days to their annual KOKEFEST. This years shows had been set for Friday and Saturday, August 4th-5th, 2023, just outside of the Capital of Texas.
Unfortunately, late last week organizers announced that they won't be going forward with KOKEFEST this year:
It is with deep sadness to announce the cancellation of KOKEFEST 2023, August 4th & 5th at Adam Orgain Park in Hutto, TX. We understand that this comes as a disappointment as this is not a decision we have taken lightly. Ticket holders will receive an email notification with refund instructions.
While we all await more details, there is currently no reason that anyone should be worried that the festival won't be making a come back in '24, or that the station is in any type of jeopardy - despite the unbridled online rumors and speculation.
We love and support you, KOKE-FM!
