Bands, their crews, live music venues, and their staffs, alike, are hemorrhaging money post-COVID. Folks are a bit gun-shy about getting back out there, and rightfully so. The Texas Maskquerade Party, however, is here to remind us that we can enjoy some of the best live music on the planet with friends, we just need to be socially responsible about it.

The Texas Maskquerade Party is a non-partisan advocacy group dedicated to educating and encouraging our fellow Texans during the COVID-19 outbreak. Similar to the Don’t Mess with Texas campaign, the TMP’s public awareness campaign includes messaging to gather and socialize responsibly, and to follow the guidelines outlined by local, state, and federal governments, as the state begins the process of reopening.

The Texas Maskuerade Party is attempting to do something that has been tough to do up to this point. During a politically charged pandemic here in Texas they are hoping to "encourage Texans to socialize responsibly and protect each other by wearing a protective mask in public where appropriate." I think it's become obvious, to most, that the road to recovery, the hopes of reopening Texas safely and sooner than later depends on it.

In addition to selling prints of special artwork based on an original piece by renowned artist Jack Terry to help raise money, and the star-studded PSAs, The Texas Maskquerade Party will be throwing a concert fundraiser with Gary P. Nunn on Nov 18th at The Armadillo Palace. The event will follow all CDC guidelines and will show that together we can be socially responsible, and get back out there to support live Texas Music.
