Recap: The 2014 Americana Awards

This year's Americana Awards definitely did us proud, honoring some of our favorite artists and their killer talent. Here are a few artists/bands we have mentioned before that were awarded for knocking it out of the park:

Artist of the Year: Jason Isbell

Duo/Group of the Year: The Milk Carton Kids

Emerging Artist of the Year: Sturgill Simpson

Lifetime Achievement for Songwriting: Loretta Lynn

Isbell also went on to win 'Album of the Year' with Southeastern, as well as 'Song of the Year' with Cover Me Up.
