Downtown Tyler is home to many people, businesses and events -- including Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival. Now the festival is set to give something back.

Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival is proud to announce a partnership with The Heart of Tyler, LLC, which is the only non-profit organization in Tyler dedicated solely to the revitalization of Downtown Tyler.

A portion of the proceeds from Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival will be donated to Heart of Tyler, which means that money will go directly toward the continuation of bringing new life to Downtown Tyler.

“We love great events like Red Dirt because of what they add to the downtown area, and we are so pleased to partner with it," Heart of Tyler president Brooke Droptini said.

The money will be used to coordinate more events downtown, plus used in various aspects to bring more awareness and businesses to the original part of the Rose City.

"We are asked all the time if we've ever thought about moving Red Dirt because a bigger space means more people, but that answer will always be no," Red Dirt organizer Chase Colston said. "Downtown Tyler is the most beautiful part of Tyler, and it's our home. We are proud to start this relationship with The Heart of Tyler, because these people do so much to make Downtown Tyler great."
