Want to Attend the Retired Robert Earl Keen’s 2nd Annual Fan Appreciation Day?
While Robert Earl Keen is officially retired from touring, that doesn't mean he can't find an occasional work-around or two to get back in front of fans. And what better work around than a FREE show that promises to be star-studded?
Last January (2022) Keen announced he's be retiring September upcoming. It was a mixed day of emotions for fans and artists. The man who arguably is the best storyteller of our generation, and who is often credited with giving so many artists a road map for touring Texas was officially turning his in.
But like Keen says "The Road Goes on Forever and The Party Never Ends"... the parties, however, may get more sparse.
Keen's upcoming fan appreciation day is not a comeback by any means, but it is a tremendous nod to his fans. In fact, tickets to this show can't be purchased. There is a raffle going on on his website now, there you can enter to win yours.
On September 4th, Labor Day proper, Keen, his band, and all of his rowdy musician friends will take to the legendary Floore’s Country Store in Helotes, Texas, for, in the man’s own words, “a laid-back party with great food, cold beer, and a bunch of fellow artists.” He’s quick to add a note that will surely make fans of the retired-from-the-road troubadour very happy: “…and my band and I will close the party out.”
After you enter clear your calendar. Robert Earl Keen's Annual Fan Appreciation Day Party on Sept. 4th, 2023. Doors at 5:00PM. Music starts 6:00PM and Robert Earl Keen and his band will close out the night onstage.
