The ‘Raising for Raines’ Online Auction is LIVE
Eric Raines gave Radio Texas, LIVE! a home in Austin on KOKE FM six years ago. For six years Eric has continued to give me the opportunity, the privilege, of being on the radio in the "Live Music Capital of the World." Today Eric, the man who has freely given me and so many others in the Texas scene love and support, and his family need our love and support.
His wonderful wife, Terri, was recently diagnosed Stage 3C high-grade serous ovarian cancer. The cancer was discovered after completing laparoscopic surgery to remove a large cyst, which required removing her left ovary. She then underwent an in-depth surgery to remove the primary cancer, secondary tumors, and additional evidence of the cancer was discovered in other organs. This was an intensive surgery that required her to stay in the hospital for about a week. Terri has now begun her chemotherapy, and rer doctor estimates a duration of 1 year of treatment for her.
The "Raising for Raines" fundraiser and concert will be held on Sunday, October 18th at Schoepf's BBQ in Belton, TX. It's going to be a great day of live music from Parker McCollum, Cory Morrow, Roger Creager, Kyle Park, William Clark Green, Sam Riggs and many more.
