Everyone needs a certain appreciation for the classics – those songs that inspired the Texas and Nashville tunes we hear today. There was a certain honesty in songwriting back in the day that deserves to be recognized and remembered.

Shania Twain is one of the most successful female country artists, and crossover female artists, to date. She has been such an inspiration to other women hoping to be singer/songwriters by maintaining a strong and progressive attitude.

Oh, and let's not forget she successfully sported the cutoff jean vest and high-waisted pants first. But, let's leave those in the '90s, where she rocked them.
