If you were looking to survive an apocalypse, this is the place you'd want to be.
It's an abandoned nuclear missile silo bunker in Vilonia, Arkansas (just north of Little Rock). It once housed nuclear missiles and now it's been turned into an amazing luxurious Airbnb rental.
For around $370 a night, you could be staying in a real, decommissioned nuclear missile silo. The Luxury Titan II Nuclear Missile Complex was built to launch a Titan II nuclear missile but has since been transformed into one luxurious pad to rest your head.
Getting to it will require you to go underground 35 feet, but once inside the 3500 square foot home, it is all yours. Including access to the Launch Control Center. This decommissioned nuclear silo features three bedrooms, a full kitchen, three bathrooms, a theater room, and more.
According to the Airbnb listing, the original missile base is about 9 acres and it sits in the middle of 200 acres of ranch land. Once below ground and in the bunker itself, you'll be exploring the three-story facility using the spiral staircases.
Then, if you're up to the challenge, the U.S. Sun says you can use the 50' escape ladder to crawl out to the surface. Plus, you can try to lock the massive six thousand-pound blast door too.
Judging from the reviews online, this sounds like a very memorable stay for a lot of people, and it's just a few hours away from Tyler.
