It's October 1st, that means post season baseball about to begin. In honor of that, this week we #ThrowBackThursday to May 2014, when Cody Johnson sang our National Anthem in front thousands upon thousands of hard-core Texas Rangers fans. All the way back when Josh Hamilton was an Angel.

Originally posted May 8, 2014: Well, isn't this just cool. Our pal, Cody Johnson, was invited to sing the National Anthem before a Texas Rangers game recently. And in true CJB fashion -- nailed it

Trust me, I was looking for flubs. But aside from the announcer's too-long-pause, causing Cody to think it was his cue to start, he did a great job. Johnson stayed within his range, didn't try anything too crazy and left the crowd with a great rendition of our nation's most patriotic song.

Not a lot of info as to when this happened or who the Rangers were playing on this particular day, but we'll find out when Cody stops by Radio Texas, LIVE! next week.

Cody Johnson Band's latest album Cowboy Like Me, is easily one of the best released in 2014, and his most recent single Dance Her Home spent an unprecedented four consecutive weeks at No. 1 in Texas.
