The Top 100 Singles on Texas and Red Dirt Radio in 2016
It was a stellar year 2016 in the Texas / Red Dirt scene. We were inundated with so many great new albums, and accompanying radio singles. Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers released their second collaboration, a live album, Watch This: Vol. 1, Cody Jinks solidified his spot as the latest, and surest country music savior with, I'm Not the Devil, Cody Johnson simplified his sound and cemented his place as the cream of the Texas crop with Gotta Be Me, and Flatland Cavalry and Paul Cauthen burst onto the scene, the latter with his debut solo album.
And who could forget Jack Ingram, who released Midnight Motel, his first album in seven years. It was as if he spent seven years fine-tuning it, cause this album is great.
With great albums come great radio singles, so let’s get into it. These are the 100 most spun songs on Texas radio according to the CD Traction Texas chart for all of 2016.
