While in Rhode Island Childers made a stop at Newport Folk Festival to drop in on headliners Turnpike Troubadours. He and the boys joined up for a "Paradise" cover, a tribute to the late, great John Prine.

If you missed the news Childers will be releasing his next album coming up on September 8th. His highly anticipated sixth studio album will be called Rustin In The Rain, the lead single "In Your Love” was just released last week.

Not to be outdone, Turnpike has a new album on the way as well. A Cat in the Rain, set for release on Aug. 25 was produced by Shooter Jennings, this record will be their first release post-hiatus and since 2017's A Long Way From Your Heart.
