#BandsYouShouldKnow: The Kinfolk

I would like to think it is my job as a writer and music advocate to bring fresh new music and faces to your attention, with my weekly feature, #BandsYouShouldKnow, that's exactly what I hope to do.

You may recognize this New Braunfels group by their lead singer Daniel Thomas Phipps, or perhaps by their stage name - The Kinfolk. I, myself, stumbled upon their music through another group and was thoroughly impressed with their stripped down, earthy, acoustic sound.

If you are in the Hill Country or Austin area, I highly recommend catching one of their acoustic gigs and experience an intimate songwriter session. Heck, jump on a train and make your way down here anyway.
