Earlier in the week he revealed his plans for a bluegrass album in 2020. So fittingly, Sturgill and his friends performed several of his songs with a bluegrass twist, kicking off the show with a new (perhaps the original) take on "Living the Dream."

Between songs, Simpson also told fans that he and his band have been re-cutting his back catalog "bluegrass style" and he will indeed be releasing two records this year, "a volume 1 and a volume 2... so yeah, look for that this fall hopefully."

From YouTube, "After a call-to-action that raised nearly $250,000 for charity, Sturgill Simpson is honoring his fans with a special one-night performance broadcast live from the historic Ryman Auditorium. The show will continue fundraising efforts for several organizations including the Special Forces Foundation, the Equity Alliance, and the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Come jam #withus at this very special event."
