Last week the news of a Brooks & Dunn tribute album was confirmed with two fresh takes by Luke Combs and Kane Brown on two B&D classics, and the announcement that the Reboot will be here in April.

In an interview on radio show Nash Nights Live, Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks revealed two more exciting pieces of information. 1. Kacey Musgraves will sing “Neon Moon.” 2. Cody Johnson sings “Red Dirt Road.”

“Cody Johnson sang on ‘Red Dirt Road,’” says Kix. “Of all the cuts, it’s probably the most different, maybe except for ‘Neon Moon’ that Kacey Musgraves did, which she had already done her own arrangement. But, man, Cody’s voice is so cowboy and honest. Cody really stepped up. He’s a cool addition to our format. Texas has found him already. I like what he’s doing.”

The new Brooks & Dunn album, Reboot, will be out on April 5. In addition to Johnson and Musgraves the album features Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Lanco, Ashley McBryde, Midland, Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi and Tyler Booth.
