Whiskey Myers can not be stopped. Their new self-titled and self-produced album, Whiskey Myers raked in 42,000 first-week equivalent album units moved, of that a remarkable 39,000 were in album sales. That's right, Whiskey Myers has the No. 1 album in the world on the Billboard Country Charts.

This is huge for the East Texas rockers. And it wasn't a walk in the park, they were up against some great new projects; Jon Pardi’s Heartache Medication came in at No. 2, and Sturgill Simpson’s Sound & Fury landed at No. 3.

As pointed out by Saving Country Music this puts "Whiskey Myers in the very rare company of Blackberry Smoke, Aaron Watson, and Jason Isbell as independent artists topping the country albums charts."

In addition to topping the Country Chart for the week, they landed at No. 2 on the Rock Chart, and No. 6 All-Genre. Congrats, guys!
