East Texas native Cody Johnson was on hand when it was announced that he would be performing at RodeoHouston for a second straight year.

Johnson was the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's guest as this year's lineup of performers was revealed. You may recall that last year Johnson and his band got three days notice before their performance -- filling in for Old Dominion who had to bow out after a death in the family.

"We had some really great accomplishments last year, but this one stood out above all else," Johnson said. "Now to be invited back, it makes us feel like we really left our mark and we did our job, so it's a great sense of accomplishment."

The Huntsville native made the most of last minute addition last year bringing in over 60,000 fans before turning heads when he left the stage on horseback.
