I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could. I'm originally from Battle Creek, Michigan (home of Tony the Tiger). I've got two kids who take up most of my time out of the office, but when I get "me time", I'm either taking in some live music or a sporting event. Since relocating, I also fell in love with the Texas music scene. I've been lucky enough to be nominated for DJ of the Year 4 straight years by the Academy of Texas Music, and was the 2009 recipient of the Academy's Palmwood Award. I'm a huge sports fan, and my loyalties are with the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago White Sox and (sorry) the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Stewart Mann of the Statesboro Revue Sings the National Anthem at Astros Game
One of my favorite singers in Texas music fulfilled a dream of his Tuesday (8/6). Stewart Mann, lead singer of the Statesboro Revue took the field before the Houston Astros - Boston Red Sox game and sang the National Anthem in front of thousands of fans at Minute Maid Park. And he nailed it.
Clayton Gardner: New Single, New Album + An Exclusive Live Performance
It's always great to have Clayton Gardner stop by the KEAN 105 studios. Last time he was in town, he paid a visit during the St. Jude Children's Hospital Radiothon and offered his help to raise funds for sick children. This time, Gardner stopped by on his way to a show (and brought the whole, road-weary band), just to say "hi" and share the latest news with us.
Two Tons of Steel, ‘Unraveled’ is a Music Lover’s Album [ALBUM REVIEW]
I have to admit, I wasn't familiar with Two Tons of Steel until the band released 'Not That Lucky' a few years back. But from first listen, I was hooked. I loved the fact that there was a band that could be far off the beaten path, yet sound so cool and polished and professional. Their new CD, 'Unraveled', features more of that quirky coolness that we've come to expect from Two Tons, and more.

Brandon Jenkins ‘Tattoo Tears’ [SONG REVIEW]
Brandon Jenkins may be best known for his edgy, occasionally expletive-laden songs, but if that's all you know about the Red Dirt legend, you're missing out on a lot of what makes Jenkins an all-time great singer/songwriter. From his latest CD, 'Through the Fire', Brandon shows off a deep, emotional side with his single, 'Tattoo Tears'.

Josh Ward Looks for Repeat Success with New Single ‘Promises’ [Song Review]
After reaching a new level of success with his hit single 'Sent Me You', Mongomery, Texas native Josh Ward is faced with the tall order of following up a chart-topping record. He'll take a crack at it with a very different song from the sweet, honest ballad: a rocking honky tonk country tune called 'Promises'.
