So many times when we talk about a band's new album, the long wait since their last must be addressed. Not this time boys and girls. Cody Jinks is set to followup his 2018 smash, Lifers, barely one year since it was released.

If you follow Jinks on social media then you know the Texas native has been busily working on the new project between live shows the past several months. In April he revealed that he had been back at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas to work on the album -- and that he had already recorded several new tracks.

Last week Jinks filled us in the rest of timeline for the project. According to his tweet, he's back in the studio beginning today, and the new album After the Fire will be out on October 4th.
