Founder of Texas Music Chart Passes at 70 Years

Ed Shane, founder of Texas Music Chart, Best In Texas Magazine and Shane Media passed this week at 70 years old, from a short run with colon cancer.

If you are not familiar with the inner workings of the music scene, Shane had a huge hand in the influence of Texas Music. He pushed radio to be stronger, and inspired artists to reach their full potential. Although rankings and awards are only secondary in life, there was always something special about having a song make it on the Texas Music Chart:
