Our pal Kacey James over at The PlayList recently went to John T. Floore’s in San Antonio where he sat down for a great conversation with Red Dirt legend Cody Canada. In Part 1, which we posted last Saturday (Jan. 11), the two cover a lot of ground including Canada's stance on one of Texas' brightest burning stars:

"Everybody had really finally stopped asking me about when the band was going to get back together, then he put out that f*cking song," Canada says laughing. "No, I like the song. It's an honor." Watch Part 1 of the interview here.

In Part 2 Cody takes us through the timeline of Cross Canadian Ragweed's breakup.

I was really pissed off. It was coming, we saw it coming. If you watch any band that breaks up you can see the date that they split and go backwards and see it coming... When it did go down it went down in a heated argument. There was a lot of anger, and then the next day I was kinda scared... Sixteen years is a good run... getting back together will never happen.

The guys also cover Cody's relationship with longtime friend and band mate Jeremy Plato, and his passing of the torch on to his sons and helping with their musical careers. Cody is very transparent and doesn’t hold anything back in this tell-all exclusive interview. Check out the entire conversation up top... and standby... Part 3 coming soon.
