Shane Smith and the Saints ‘Oklahoma City’, Plus A Bus Fire Update
Almost exactly a month ago, on November 21st, Shane Smith and the Saints lost everything when their bus caught fire and turned to ashes on the side of the road.
The band and crew made it out without injury, but the bus is a total loss, and save a a few items all of their gear was as well.
But the guys soldiered on, somehow playing all of their scheduled shows that weekend. If you've been wondering how to help out one of Texas' most dynamic bands, front man Shane Smith recently updated fans:
Folks have been asking a ton lately about what they can do to help out.., and in all honesty.. packing these last 3 shows of 2019, w/ as many people as possible, is pretty much my response.
-
I’ve made it a point not to start our own online fundraiser or anything like that yet, for my own personal reasons, but packing these last 3 would be a massive help for us to continue to replace all of our gear, etc. and get back on two feet.
-
There will be opportunities to donate as well at each of the shows, but aside from that, we’re gonna hold off from starting a fundraiser and keep renting gear, playing the shows, etc.. until further notice.
-
SO.. with that said, Tag all of your San Antonio, Houston & Dallas friends for us, and let’s party in some ugly sweaters lol
Our good friends The Dirty River Boys (with John Baumann on Fri) are on them as well.. gonna be 🔥🎄😂. Cheers everyone, and sincerely.. thank you for continuing to check in on us, raise funds on your own, offer help, etc.
We love ya more than you know & we’ll see you all soon 🍻🎄⚡️🎻🔥
