This Friday William Clark Green’s Circus Returns to Tyler
This Friday William Clark Green returns home to East Texas, and he's bringing Dalton Domino with him.
Following Green’s “Misunderstood,” an album that galvanized Green’s core fan base, in 2013 “Rose Queen” became a true breakout project for the East Texas native.
With it Green got his first taste of radio success (“It’s About Time” Top 10, “She Likes The Beatles” No. 1, “Rose Queen” No. 4, and “Hanging Around” No. 1), not to mention one of the coolest album covers that year.
In addition Green earned high praise from the Dallas Observer, the newspaper that named “She Likes the Beatles” the best song in Texas that year.
The monster that is Green’s third studio album “Ringling Road” was unleashed in April last year. That album has a No. 1 single in “Sympathy,” a Top 5 with “Sticks and Stones,” and his current single, the title track just entered the Top 10 on the Texas charts
Oh, yeah, and last year Rolling Stone included WCG’s latest album on it’s list of “Top 35 Country Albums of 2015 That You Probably Didn’t Hear.”
So by my tally that makes three No. 1 singles, seven total top 10s, the best song in Texas for 2013, and high praise from Rolling Stone. Not too shabby of a resume for a relative new-comer.
We’ll see y’all Friday at Cowboy’s. Tickets on sale here.
