William Clark Green Surprises Josh Abbott, Donates Projected $20,000 to Family
Over the weekend William Clark Green and Brady Black (of Randy Rogers Band) hosted the first-ever Green & Black Washer Tournament & Sunday Funday; and they closed the night out with a big surprise for their pal, Josh Abbott.
You may recall that back in February Josh's father suffered a stroke. Sadly after spending a lot of time in the hospital, racking up medical bills, his dad lost his life.
We can only imagine the emotional torment, coupled with the debt that Josh's mother incurred. That's where Green comes in. On Sunday WCG pledged all the proceeds, expected to exceed $20,000, to his friend's mom to help cover those medical expenses.
Josh has done more for me in the music business for me than anyone," Green explains in the video. "I've been trying for nine years to figure out how to pay him back. Tonight the proceeds are going to Josh's mom to help them out with what they went through this year.
That's a great friend.
