Austin Meade is Taking Us Back to High School, Teases Next Single “Varsity Type”
t's 2022 and there's a different sound coming out of Texas, and my man Austin Meade is smack dab in the center of it. If you hadn't noticed it there's definitley a new Texas rock wave, it's exciting to see, and is quickly carving out a piece of the Texas / Red Dirt pie.
In 2020 Meade's single "Happier Alone" landed inside our top 30 songs of the year, holding down the number 20 spot, it's a great, rockin' song on it's own. Then in '21 Meade smacked us upside the head with the Koe Wetzel remix. That collaboration surpassed one million streams in just a few weeks.
Last year he also finally released that album we'd been waiting for, Black Sheep. The project featuring "Déjà Vu" and "Happier Alone" on Snakefarm Records. Thank you, sir.
Now, sit down, strap in, and prepare yourself for Austin Meade's newest release "Varsity Type." The Texas rocker released the teaser for it just today.
