Let's get real for a moment. No one is going to sing "Silent Night" in concert. Not at a honky tonk. Don't get us wrong, it's a good song and all, super Christmas-sy, but a real downer at a live show. Robert Earl Keen's "Merry Christmas From the Family" on the other hand, it's a game changer.

Cody Cannon of of Whiskey Myers recently covered the Texas-Christmas standard during an acoustic set. Big shout out to Jordan Alker for capturing it and being thoughtful enough to post this bad boy on YouTube for all of us to enjoy. Check it out, it was recorded at a sold out show at Hank's last week. Merry Christmas, y'all!
